Dawn
Dawn is our Medical Assistant. She begins your exam by performing tests ordered by Dr. Barton. She also assists Dr. Barton throughout your eye exam. Dawn ensures you have continuity in your healthcare by completing necessary communication between Dr. Barton and your family physician. She handles medication prescriptions and any forms you may need completed for school or work.
Dawn graduated from the Institute of Medical and Dental Technology with a Degree in Medical Assisting and had worked in the medical field for 6 years before taking time off to stay home with her son. Dawn has been married for 11 years and has a wonderful 7 year old son. She enjoys camping, gardening, being outdoors and spending time with her family. She looks forward to meeting all of our patients and fulfilling their eye care needs.
Melanie
Melanie is our Medical Assistant. She will perform the initial tests for your exam which are ordered by Dr. Barton. Melanie also assists Dr. Barton throughout your eye exam.Additionally, she handles coordinating your medical care by handling prescriptions you may be prescribed during your exam as well as taking care of any correspondence that may need completed to give you complete medical care between Dr. Barton and your family physician.
Since graduating in 2004, with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Medical Assisting, she has worked in the medical field. Melanie is excited to bring patient care and satisfaction to our wonderful patient family. She is ready to answer any questions you may have regarding the medical care you receive in our office.
Outside of the office Melanie enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 daughters and son, watching college sports and cooking for friends and family.
Shelly
Shelly is our Front Desk Coordinator. She will greet you with a warm smile and be ready to assist you as you enter our office. Shelly recently completed her certification in Medical Billing and will be happy to answer any billing questions you may have.
Shelly maintains the office schedule and efficiently takes care of front office duties including insurance benefits and billing while also handling patient check in and check out. Shelly is happy to help you with any question you may have about our office.
Shelly has been married 7 years. She enjoys gardening and spending time with her family and friends including her loveable Bassett Hound, Sweet Pea. She is looking forward to making all of our patients experience at Buckeye Family Eye Clinic Inc. a pleasure.
